Honoring Speech Therapy Month
May 22nd, 2024In honor of speech therapy month, we would like to highlight some of the amazing achievements and supports our speech therapist offers within our facility.
Some may think of speech therapy as a 'therapy for verbalization and/or swallowing', but did you know that speech therapy also works without residents' cognition and memory? Our Speech Therapist, Andi, goes above and beyond to assist and support our residents.

Some of our residents recreated their life within a shadow board with the memory lane program. The memory lane shadow board represents a journey through the life of the resident who created it with our special speech therapist Andy. While recreating these life events it triggers past memories that otherwise may not have been resurfaced.
We hope you enjoy the journeys of our residents' lives as they have recreated them!
